Bryce Cotton is a 23 year old point guard out of Providence College, where he averaged 15 points and three assist per game in four years with the Friars. He was originally un-drafted, but signed by the San Antonio Spurs after the draft. He was waived before the 2014-2015 season. He has played 40 games for the Austin Spurs of the NBADL in two seasons, averaging 22 points and nearly five assists. He was also on the All-NBADL rookie team for the and on the All-NBADL second team.
Cotton has had two shots at the NBA this season, once with the Utah Jazz where he played in 15 games at the end of his rookie season, averaging 18 points and 3.4 assists per game before being waived before the start of this season. In November 2015 he was signed by the Phoenix Suns where he played in three games, averaging 4.4 point and 3.3 assists. He was waived by the Suns in January.
Ray McCallum's second ten-day contract expired today, with him appearing in ten games and averaging 6.9 points and 2.7 assists per game, but was a career high 39% from 3pt.
The Grizzlies will also break the record for the most players on a roster during on season with their 28th player, beating out the 1996-1997 Dallas Mavericks roster.
