The Run-down on the Matchup between the Grizzlies and the hated Clippers

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

"Dang Corban, back at it again with the game recap!’ Yes, why yes, it is I, so let’s get to business.

So yeah, um, the game. It. it was a tough one, and a little painful to watch as the Clips got a lead early and just seemed to enlarge it. It didn’t help that the Grizzlies couldn’t hit the broad side of the barn tonight, as they just had a miserable shooting performance all around. At one point in the third quarter the Grizzlies were shooting 40% from the field, 21% from three and 54% from the charity stripe as a team. I don’t have to tell you that that isn't going to win you many games. The Grizzlies ended up shooting 40% from the field, 25% from three, and 64% from the free throw line for the entire game. The shooting lines for the Grizzlies was horrible. Zach Randolph had a game high 14 points and the best shooting line, but even that could have been better (He shot 7-15) Our starting back court combined for 3-14 shooting (Jordan Farmar 2-7, Vince Carter 1-7) Xavier Mumford and Lance Stephenson each brought in 11 points off the bench on a combined 9-21 shooting. Jarell Martin got some playing time and had 12 points in almost 20 minutes and JaMychal Green had eight points and 10 rebounds in 26 minutes. But Matt Barnes had a rough night, only scoring seven points in 28 minutes and laboring even to do that. It was a rough night overall for the Grizzlies, and with the playoffs closing in fast and the Warriors coming up over the horizon, this is not the ideal outcome for coach Joerger and his Grizzlies right now. We got to get it together to stop the Warriors from reaching their 73rd win! See, I’ve already moved on from this game because the Warriors are coming! The Warriors are coming and we have to win!

Grizzly Leaders: Points- Zach Randolph, 14 PTS

Rebounds- JaMychal Green, 10 REBS

Assists-Xavier Mumford, 4 ASTS

For the Clippers. Chris Paul led the way with 12 points and 13 assists, Blake Griffin had 12 points, seven rebounds, and 4 assists, and DeAndre Jordan added seven points and 11 rebounds. J.J. Redick had 11, Austin Rivers came off the bench to get 14, and Former Grizzly Jeff Green had 13 points and three rebounds off the bench. Paul Pierce also chipped in with 11, and even Cole Aldrich contributed 6 points on 3-3 shooting in some PT for him (because the majority of the game was a blowout)

Clippers Leaders:

Points- Austin Rivers, 14 PTS

Rebounds- DeAndre Jordan, 12 REBS

Assists- Chris Paul, 13 ASTS

No one cares who the Clippers play next. The Grizzlies play the Warriors TOMORROW. Let’s get it y’all! this’ll be the day from which Legends are born! I’ll see ya then!
