Report: Mike Conley, Jordan Adams, and Brandan Wright to Miss the Rest of the Season

New, comments

According to reports, the Grizzlies will not have their starting point guard and some key reserves for the stretch run of the regular season.

According to Ron Tillery of the Commercial Appeal, it appears as though the Grizzlies have shut down point guard Mike Conley for the remainder of the season.  Tillery also reports that guard Jordan Adams and center Brandan Wright will not return to the lineup this season as well.

Per Tillery,

Grizzlies coach Dave Joerger listened to a reporter's question, made certain he understood it and then paused.

He let the inquiry marinate in his mind and delivered a succinct answer.

Is there any expectation for Mike Conley, Brandan Wright, Jordan Adams and P.J. Hairston to play for the Griz again this season?

"I think we'll see P.J. again," Joerger said as he walked away.

Welp...This seems to be another wonderful slice of news in the depressing and tragic season that our Memphis Grizzlies have experienced.  If I didn't love them so much, I'd blame the Sounds jerseys.

Hopefully we have paid whatever karmic debt we owe to the basketball injury gods and will never have to suffer anything like this again.

The Grizzlies are on a six game losing streak and host the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday.

Hold on.
