Before you get overly angry with the Grizzlies' front office, the tweet following that "Woj Bomb" was quite telling...
Sources: For second time in three years, Joerger was seeking Memphis permission to talk with other teams on vacancies. Grizzlies let him go.

No one can fully fault Dave Joerger for perhaps being interested in other gigs, especially considering all of the turmoil and confusing flirtation that went down with Minnesota just a couple of years ago. However, as an organization that is likely to go through some serious remodeling these next couple of seasons, the team likely grew weary of a coach who wanted out continuing to ask. They surely want someone invested in the long haul. More details are needed, but early on this possibly sounds like the best option for all involved.
An offseason that we knew would be intense before it began just got that much more interesting. How will the coaching search go? What impact will this have on Mike Conley's free agency and roster moves this summer? Stick with Grizzly Bear Blues for the latest updates in the days and weeks ahead.
