It happened. It actually happened.
The Memphis Grizzlies have signed a shooter.
Free agent Chandler Parsons is nearing agreement on a four-year, $94M max deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, league sources tell @TheVertical.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojVerticalNBA) July 1, 2016
This is a historic day for the Memphis Grizzlies. They wooed a very good basketball player to come play their basketball in the Bluff City. Parsons had his choice. He could've gone to play with the young core of the Portland Trail Blazers. He could have opted for the bright lights of Los Angeles with the Lakers. He could have gone to lots of different places, "sexier" places.
But he chose us.

Now, the Grizzlies have new found offensive fire power. Now, Memphis has a new star to welcome to the Bluff City. Now, there is a reason to unclog the paint and allow Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol to do their work in the paint, for Tony Allen to slash to the lane.
Memphis has a versatile offensive weapon now. The one that has been longed for for a long time. He is imperfect, but hell, so is Memphis. This is a major victory for Memphis' Front Office, and will surely mean the return of Mike Conley.
Since Mike Conley co-chaired Memphis' Chandler Parsons recruiting along with J.B. Bickerstaff, you can safely assume Conley is staying there— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) July 1, 2016
That's a hell of a free agency haul.
Welcome, Chandler. Glad you decided to get hitched to us.
