The Memphis Grizzlies are setting NBA Free Agency on fire today. I don't know whether to make a July 4th pun or a Christmas in July pun. But our pal Robert Pera knows what's going on today.

That's right Bobby. You said you'd do it when the time came, and you're walking the walk my friend.
After presumably landing both Chandler Parsons and the returning Mike Conley, you'd think the Grizzlies would have a glass of wine and call it a day. But no, folks. There's still room to grow.
Memphis, meanwhile, only has an $8+ million chunk of cap space left but I'm told they're trying to make sufficient room to land Eric Gordon

This is a pretty amazing day in Grizzlies free agency history, but there's some good news/bad news here. Good news: Eric Gordon is a fantastic shooter who can score and contribute in a number of other ways in the backcourt. Bad news: He's injured about as often as all the other guys we've got on the team. Good news: Eric Gordan is a fantastic shooter, again. Bad news: The Grizzlies could end up losing Vince Carter to make room for Gordon as Chris Herrington discussed earlier today.
I've never been shy about my love for Vinsanity, and I'd be more than furious if the Grizzlies chose Matt Barnes over him to make some cap space. I'll live though. Memphis has done enough today to allow me to rip my Vince Carter bandaid off. But seriously, if you go with Matt Barnes (detriment to human race) over Vince Carter (2015-16 Teammate of the Year winner) then I'm going to have additional commentary that might be filled with disdain.
