Top 11 Mike Conley Moments: Part I

We celebrate Conley's new contract with a look back at some of his most memorable moments.

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

While we all wait for Mike Conley to officially rejoin the Memphis Grizzlies, this seems like as good a time as any to take a look back at some of his greatest moments. Without further ado, let the countdown begin!

11. #ClutchConley

Conley's three with 7.6 seconds left wasn't even enough to send this to overtime. In fact, it was the fifth or sixth craziest thing to happen at the end of this game, but it got the triple-OT festivities started. Over the last several years, Mike has consistently proved his doubters wrong  -€” whether it's turning an ironic hashtag into a genuine one, or making his "preposterous" 5 year/$40 million contract look like a bargain.

10. Lob(s) to Jerryd Bayless

Conley and Bayless loved this play. Conley reads the cut instantaneously and places the ball on a dime. A small-to-small lob is a beautiful thing. This instance was special, as it helped bury the Clippers in the first of a four-game gentleman's sweep. Is it still a gentleman's sweep if you let the other team win two?

9. Globetrotter Pass to Gasol vs. Oklahoma City

Conley is the opposite of showy, but this White Chocolate-esque flick to Gasol (who ran the length of the floor) is a beaut. And what better way to finish than a reverse by headband-less Z-bo?

8. Game-sealing Steal of Chris Paul

A heroic 30-point effort from Chris Paul went to waste as he dribbled right into Courtney Lee, with Mike Conley there waiting to pounce.

7. A Record-Breaking Assist

If you're going to break a record, might as well do it in style. Conley becomes the Grizzlies' franchise leader in assists on this picturesque lob to Rudy Gay.

6. Game Winner vs. New Orleans

Winning the games you're supposed to win in the dog days of the season can be hard. Conley helped save this one from an embarrassing fate, with a tricky off-hand floater over two defenders. It helped that Austin Rivers' feet were nailed to the floor, but eh. Still good.
