The Chip Williams Podcast with Andrew Ford

GBB Senior staff writers Chip Williams and Andrew Ford take a deep dive into the Grizzlies draft and offseason.

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Andrew and I took a deep dive into exactly what the Grizzlies got during the 2016 NBA Draft and gave our thoughts on what the Grizz have done up to this point in free agency.

We began by talking about Wade Baldwin and how he projects not only in the future, but on next season's roster. We talked about Baldwin needing to improve in some areas before the Grizz should feel comfortable with him as the primary ball handler and point guard.

We then moved on to Deyonta Davis, and although we were critical of his offensive game, we both expressed our love for his defense and rebounding.

We discussed Rade Zagorac, and why we're both very comfortable with him stashing away for a season or two, and why we're so excited about what he bring offensively.

We did not discuss very much Wang Zhelin because neither of us have the Chinese Basketball Association League Pass (shouts to Stephon Marbury).

We wrapped up the podcast by talking about the moves the Grizz have made to this point in free agency, including Chandler Parsons, Mike Conley and even James Ennis, who we both like - especially at the 2-years, $6 million he signed for.
