Memphis Grizzlies Sign Troy Daniels in Free Agency

The Grizzlies, with a little cap room left and ever in need of more shooting, nabbed another guard.

The Grizzlies have signed free agent guard Troy Daniels, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

Daniels is entering his fourth year and signing with his fourth team. He's a career 43% three-point shooter and is probably best known as the hero of Rockets - Trail Blazers Game 3 in 2014:

As Chris Herrington of the Memphis Commercial Appeal pointed out on Twitter, Daniels has had trouble finding consistent minutes on past teams, which is a potential cause for concern with regard to other holes in his game. He is another shooter, however, and Memphis is clearly targeting shooting in what has been a pretty successful offseason.

The Grizzlies now have a plethora of options at the two, with Daniels probably being the most pure SG on the roster. Wade Baldwin, Andrew Harrison, and Tony Allen might also find themselves playing in the backcourt alongside Conley.
