Today, the Grizzlies made official the signings of four new players. Wayne Selden, Jr., D.J. Stephens, Troy Williams, and Tony Wroten were announced by the team earlier this afternoon.
Three of the signings were expected, but the addition of Tony Wroten, whose name has been tossed around in the Twitter-verse after his acquisition and subsequent release earlier this summer, comes as a bit of a surprise. It’s conceivable that the team may want to keep him as a veteran option at point guard given the lack of experience at the position, as GBB discussed recently.
Per the story on the team website, the terms of these signings were undisclosed, though based on all information available prior to this, the contracts are likely partially guaranteed deals that will bring the players to training camp with a chance to impress and make the roster.
