In case you weren’t aware, the Memphis Grizzlies’ own Vince Carter turned 40 yesterday. That’s a big milestone for anyone, but especially for an NBA player. The Grizzlies, of course, made sure to wish Vince a happy birthday.
Of course, it’s also important when someone hits a milestone like 40 to treat them as if they’re about to retire to Florida and start collecting social security. The Grizzlies also made sure to uphold this time-honored tradition.
First, it was Mike Conley, who played the part of Zach Galifianakis in a parody of Between Two Ferns, appropriately titled Between Two Grizz.

Next up, it was the Grizz Grannies and Grandpas, who happily greeted the newest member of their team.

It only seems appropriate that Vince is smuggling a bottle of wine in this video, considering he’s one of the few players who’s aged this well.
Happy birthday, Vince, and congrats on a long, distinguished career.
