The Memphis Hustle, the new G-League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, has finalized its roster for Opening Day, which will be this weekend.

Of the 12 members of the squad, three played college basketball in the Mid-South, and two others possess two-way contracts with the Grizzlies.

Kobi Simmons and Vince Hunter are your two-way players. Don’t be surprised if you see them on the sideline for the major league ball club, as they are allowed up to 45 days with the parent organization.

Austin Nichols and Trahson Burrell both played for Josh Pastner at the University of Memphis, while Dusty Hannahs played his collegiate ball a mere five-ish hours down the road for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Jeremy Morgan was a member of the Grizzlies training camp squad, but was ultimately let go. He now returns to the organization’s G-League team.

Three players did not make the cut. The team waived Cordarius Johnson, Cullen Russo, and Addison Spruill.

The Hustle’s first game will be Saturday night in Southaven, Miss. at the Landers Center. The Sioux Falls Skyforce will be the Hustle’s first opponent as the Grizzlies new G-League team opens a three-game homestand that’s followed by a Sunday game against the Salt Lake City Stars before a week off until a Friday matchup against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
