The new NBA 2K League is starting to ramp things up. Earlier in the week, the league launched its new logo, and other teams have steadily revealed their team logos as well. (There’s some really cool logos in there. The Kings one is flame emojis.)
The Grizzlies, who will be taking part in the 2K League, finally revealed the logo for Grizz Gaming on Thursday afternoon .
Currently, the homepage features a note from Lang Whitaker, the Grizz Gaming GM, with other tabs detailing the Gamer Qualifying process, which you can check out here.
In the release put out by the team, Whitaker had this to say:
“As someone who has voraciously consumed both basketball and video games for my entire life, being the General Manager of Grizz Gaming is in many ways the culmination of my life’s work. I’m looking forward to grinding non-stop as Grizz Gaming prepares to take part in the inaugural season of the NBA 2K League, where we will grit and grind and do our best to represent Memphis and the passionate fans of esports. I always told my Mom that playing video games would one day pay off. Today is that day.”
There’s still a ways to go before the team is running (the FAQ says there’s still no announcement on what happens after qualification in January), but be sure to stay tuned. GBB will keep you up-to-date on the goings on with the newest team in the Bluff City.
