View from the enemy: Memphis vs Atlanta

The Hawks fans know that the Grizzlies are in a "full blown funk."

View from the Enemy

It is five losses in a row now... After another disappointing performance, the Grizzlies dropped one more game by double digits against an opponent playing on the second night of a back-to-back.

It is not a coincidence that Hawks fans do not strongly celebrate this win considering that Memphis is playing such a low level of basketball right now.

The view from the enemy is built according to various Twitter sources and Atlanta Hawks SB Nation Blog Peachtree Hoops GameThread.

Before the game

Howard out for rest. I wouldn’t be surprised if this decision was strategic and tactical as much as giving Dwight rest. Marc Gasol has been spending more and more time at the three point line lately. The SB Nation writers for Memphis were expecting Marc at the perimeter to be the anti-Dwight and bring him out from the paint because they know that he’s out of his element out there. I’m guessing Paul would be his primary defender now. Going small against the Grizzlies is probably a very good idea.

I watched the Grizzlies against the Clippers. Memphis didn’t look good at all. Judging by the comments made from players and their announcers, the Grizzlies are a team in a full blown funk.

Let's see how our all world perimeter defenders handle chandler parsons. lmao. He's been so bad.

During the game

Nice first quarter!

10-0 run by the Grizzlies. Some no calls have helped. We’ve gotten a couple of no calls as well in fairness.

The Hawks went ice cold and still go into the half by 12. It’s a testament to how bad the Grizzlies are playing.

When you play a team that's struggling like Memphis your bench wouldn't have a problem winning by themselves.

No grind needed. We took care of business in Memphis against a team in trouble.

After the game

For the Grizzlies, basketball isn’t fun right now.

We just played a team that shoots worse than we do. The Grizzlies were bad more than we were good.
