It started off innocently enough.
The Grizzlies announced that Chandler Parsons would miss tonight’s game with the Bucks.
Chandler Parsons (left knee soreness) is out for the @memgrizz tonight against the @Bucks.

Then, Ron Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal tweeted this out-
Hearing Grizzlies are contemplating shutting down Parsons for rest of this season. Might not happen but it's possible.
— Ronald Tillery (@CAGrizBeat) March 13, 2017
Tillery was one of the media members who broke the news about JaMychal Green being mentioned in trade talks, as well as Parsons potentially playing due to front office pressure. He has always had sources as the team’s beat writer, but he’s been especially on the last month or so.
Then, a Tillery bomb-
re: Parsons. Be surprised if Parsons (knee) plays again for Grizzlies this season.

Less than ideal.
And finally, this from the team-
So it is looking as likely as ever that Chandler Parsons’ first season as a member of the Memphis Grizzlies has come to a screeching halt. This is a problem.
Well, it depends on your view of the Parsons situation overall. If you think that he was holding the roster back, you are probably overjoyed at this possibility. If you’re worried about the prospects of the Grizzlies in the playoffs without Parsons, you’re pretty sad. If it does indeed come to pass that Chandler is done for the season, at least the Grizzlies will have roughly 15 games to figure out how the playoff rotation will look like.
There will be plenty from GBB this week regarding this situation as it develops. For now, hopefully the Grizzlies can rally and find a way to win tonight.
