Report Card: Memphis Grizzlies vs San Antonio Spurs

Grizzlies close out tight game against Spurs 110-108

The Grizzlies win a close one at home as Marc Gasol landed the last shot in overtime for the Grizzlies to win 110-108.

Mike Conley and Kawhi Leonard traded buckets. However in the end, despite Leonard’s 43 points the Grizzlies tied the series.

Here are tonight’s grades:

Marc Gasol: A-

Marc Gasol hit the game winning shot to tie the series. He also had a double double (16 points and 12 rebounds) along with 4 assists. He had way too many turnovers (7).

Zach Randolph: B+

Zach Randolph also had a double double (12 points and 11 rebounds) and 1 assist. He also led Memphis in +/- at +14

Mike Conley: A+

Mike Conley’s had a scoring battle with Kawhi Leonard. He ended with 35 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. He shot over 50 percent from the floor and made four shots from deep.

Vince Carter: A

Shooting over 50 percent from the floor and 60 percent from deep, Vince Carter had the hot hand but he did end up with 13 points, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds.

JaMychal Green: A

Green was not playing around when he shot over 60 percent from the floor and from deep. He had 14 points and 4 rebounds.

James Ennis: B

Ennis might not be a scorer but he is a good finisher and goes after the ball. He ended up with 7 points and 5 rebounds.

Troy Daniels: B

Troy Daniels two threes (6 points) and 1 steal helped the Grizz in crunch time.

Dave Fizdale: A-

Fizdale’s plan tonight worked and he backed up everything he said. Defense was solid but the turnovers were killing the team. If Memphis would hold on to the ball, the lead would have been bigger.

The Grizzlies next game will be in San Antonio on Tuesday, April 25th.
