The Memphis Grizzlies announced their 2017 NBA Summer League schedule earlier today. The Grizzlies will be participating in the Las Vegas Summer League and will open play against the Washington Wizards on July 8th. Memphis will also play the Sacramento Kings and Utah Jazz in their three pre-tournament games, according to the Grizzlies press release. After those three games, Memphis will be seeded alongside the other 23 teams participating in the Vegas Summer League (a record amount of teams) in a tournament that will begin July 12th.
Between ESPN and NBA TV 63 games will be broadcast, another record for the more popular than ever Vegas Summer League. While many will be tuning in to see players like Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball make their NBA “debuts”, Grizzlies fans will be looking for potential Rade Zagorac first NBA minutes and development from young players like Deyonta Davis and Wade Baldwin IV.
