Per Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders, the Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to a two-year deal to bring back Wayne Selden, who joined the Grizzlies late in the season and got decent playing time in the team’s opening round loss to the Spurs.

Details of the deal have yet to be announced, but it’s likely this is a value contract close to the minimum, and possibly a two-way contract. Selden originally had a team option with a guarantee date of June 24, but no announcement was ever made regarding a decision.
Now, though, the Grizzlies have added some cheap depth with upside to their roster. Selden flashed athleticism and defensive potential in his brief stint with the club last year, and he’s only 22.
Be sure to stay tuned to Grizzly Bear Blues for more updates on this deal, as well as any other free agency signings, as they become available.
