Nike has become the official apparel sponsor of the NBA, and with that comes a bevy of uniform design changes.

The new designs have been coming in left and right for essentially all 30 teams. Each offseason, a couple of teams get revamped uniforms, but rarely do we see such wholesale change across the league.

The Memphis Grizzlies joined the party on Wednesday, revealing their new fits with the Nike Swoosh featured in a video they posted onto the team’s official twitter account.

The new uniforms aren’t a huge leap from the year prior, but there are some changes to make the uniforms sleeker. The jerseys no longer have the the blue and yellow Memphis logo on the collar or on the bottom of the shorts, instead being featured on the waistband. The jerseys also no longer have separate blue stripe for hemlines, the home jerseys are now completely white besides the lettering and numbers.

And of course, the new uniforms will soon also include a small advertisement featured on the left shoulder. If the pattern around the league is to be followed, expect a Memphis institution like FedEx or Three 6 Mafia (only half kidding) to add a patch before the season as the sponsorships have had particularly local flavors.

These new uniforms don’t include any drastic changes appearance wise, but Nike and teams have been boasting about how the performance and fit of the apparel that the players will surely appreciate, considering they’re the ones actually playing in them.

These jerseys are fine, but if Nike and Memphis can produce a Nike version of the “Memphis Pride” uniforms from last Martin Luther King Jr. Day, or an updated version of the Memphis Sounds, there wouldn’t be enough fire emojis in the world to comment.
