The Memphis Grizzlies announced today that the team will tip off its 2017 preseason schedule at the FedExForum on October 2nd against the Orlando Magic. That game is the first of 5 preseason games the Grizz will play before the regular season starts in mid-October.
The Grizzlies’ preseason schedule includes trips to Philadelphia (Oct. 4) and Atlanta (Oct. 9) before they return home for games against Houston (Oct. 11) and New Orleans (Oct. 13). The Grizzlies will have training camp as well as these 5 games to figure out what to do with their overcrowded roster in preparation for the regular season. Although the games don’t count, Grizz fans will be anxious to see how the new additions to the team will mesh with its current members. It’ll also be interesting to see if Chandler Parsons looks as good in person as he has on his Instagram account all summer.
The NBA is expected to announce its full regular season schedule later this week. Get ready Grizzlies fans, the 2017-2018 season is coming.
