Today, Converse and Nike debuted three new lines of NBA themed Chuck Taylors: the Chuck ‘70 Gameday, the Chuck ‘70 Legend, and the Chuck SE Franchise. The Gameday and the Franchise are both designed in the style of the team jerseys, with the Gameday featuring uppers that are made of authentic NBA jerseys.
Unfortunately for Grizzly fans, if you want to rock these new kicks, you’re going to have to pay up. While not quite as pricey as a pair of Big Baller Brand’s signature shoes, the Grizzlies Converse are only available in the Gameday line, which come with a $250 price-tag. The more modestly priced SE Franchise line (just $90 per pair) is only available for the Celtics, Knicks, Lakers, Bulls, Warriors, Cavs, Clippers, Heat, Sixers, Thunder, Rockets, Raptors, and Spurs.
As for the line of shoes dubbed the “Legend” collection, these are only available for a handful of franchises: the Celtics, Knicks, Lakers, Bulls, and Warriors. Fortunately, these shoes aren’t nearly as awesome, so Grizzlies fans aren’t really missing out on anything.
