Breaking: Grizz trade James Ennis to Detroit

NBA: Utah Jazz at Memphis Grizzlies Justin Ford-USA TODAY Sports

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke news that the Memphis Grizzlies have traded James Ennis III to the Detroit Pistons for Brice Johnson and a second-round pick.

Ennis is averaging 6.9/3.5/1.1 on 23.4 minutes per game this season. He has been a solid contributor in a bad rotation all season. Ennis is on an expiring deal worth $3 million this season.

Brice Johnson, a 6’10 power forward out of North Carolina, is in just his first season in the league. The former Tar Heel has appeared in nine games this season, playing just 4.2 minutes per game. Johnson is on an expiring $1.3 million deal this season.

There will be more Woj bombs as the deadline draws closer. There is about an hour and a half left until all trades will stop.
