The Memphis Grizzlies had lost 18 straight games coming into tonight, the most by any team at any point this season in the NBA. They looked to right the ship once again at home when they took on the Chicago Bulls. Tyreke Evans started tonight for the first time in quite a while in hopes to get the Grizzlies their 19th win of the season.

Tyreke Evans started the game by immediately driving to the basket and creating the first points. Jarrell Martin scored a quick 5 points, Dillon Brooks followed suit, and Tyreke Evans finished the run off with a basket of his own. The Grizzlies started out with a 13-3 run over the Chicago Bulls. After the run by the Grizzlies the Chicago Bulls come back with 6-0 run of their own to get the deficit down to just four points. Dillon Brooks came back with another quick 5 points, scoring 10 points in just five minutes of basketball action. Jarell Martin ran the floor week, rebounded the ball better than most people on the floor dropping in 7 points in the first quarter. Tyreke Evans was the only other Grizzly to really get in the action in the first quarter, dropping in 6 points and 4 assists. The Grizzlies lead 29-22 after one quarter of play.

The Chicago Bulls immediate took the lead back within two minutes of the second quarter. The Grizzlies defense could not handle simple offensive sets that the Bulls were running. Jarell Martin was having a great game scoring 11 points shooting 5-7 from the field thus far into the game. Tyreke was single handedly keeping the Grizzlies in the game scoring back to back baskets and tying the game at 37 within just over eight minutes left to go in the half. They got stuck on 44 points for a long stretch in the second quarter. The turnovers were really killing the Grizzlies tonight, committing 9 so far for 10 Bulls points. Marc Gasol finally started to be more aggressive shooting and passing the ball, overcoming the Grizzlies deficit and tying the game with just over two minutes to go in the half. The Grizzlies and the Bulls fouled quite a bit to end the half, but were still tied at 52 points a piece.

Tyreke Evans started the third quarter with a quick three for the Grizzlies to take the lead over the Bulls. The young players for the Grizzlies were playing really well, especially Deyonta Davis, running to the rim and getting a few rebounds. JaMychal Green came to play in the third quarter scoring 6 points in the first four minutes of the quarter, giving the Grizzlies a four point lead. The third quarter was back and fourth the entire way, neither team had more than a two point lead until the last minute of the third quarter when the Bulls took a four point lead only to have it chipped away by a free throw from Tyreke Evans. The Chicago Bulls lead by three headed into the last quarter of the night.

Marc Gasol hit the first shot of the fourth quarter cutting the lead to just one. The Chicago Bulls quickly went on a run of their own to take a five point lead. After that, both teams decided to just trade three pointers. Denzel Valentine, Zach Lavine, Tyreke Evans, and Wayne Selden all hit three pointers in the first few minutes of the fourth quarter leading to a quick shootout before a timeout was called. The Bulls came out on top of the mini three point shooting contest leading the game by three with just over seven minutes left to play. After the timeout the Bulls hit another three and layup extending their lead to 7 points. Marc Gasol hit a wild shot falling down on his back and a free throw to pull the Grizzlies within two points.

Once the Grizzlies got the game within one, Jarell Martin tied the game with a free throw of his own. Wayne Selden gave the Grizzlies the lead with a three pointer, but the Bulls took it right back only to give it away with JaMychal Green sitting under the basket wide open. The Grizzlies led the Bulls by one point with only 45 seconds left to go in the game.

The Chicago Bulls took the lead back by one after they made two free throws. Jarrell Martin came back and made a bucket to give the Grizzlies a one point lead only to have Tyreke Evans foul a three point shooter, and they made two out of three to take the lead with only 1.8 seconds left in the game. The Grizzlies lose their 19th straight game to the Bulls 111-110.
