Memphis Grizzlies Release 2019-2020 Schedule

After much anticipation, the Memphis Grizzlies have released their 2019-2020 regular season schedule.

The Grizzlies will tip of their 2019-20 season on the road against Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat on October 23rd. Memphis will play their first regular season game at FedExForum in Memphis two days later on Friday, October 25th, against the Chicago Bulls.

The Grizzlies will play 23 of their 41 home games at FedExForum on weekends according to the press release. Eight of the games will occur on Friday’s, 10 on Saturday, and five on Sunday, according to Grizzlies PR. Memphis will play five Sunday afternoon games, but will play all five before January 26th.

Rookie Showdown on MLK Day

Ja Morant and the Grizzlies will host rookie Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans Monday, January 20th at 4:00 P.M. The two rookie sensations going at it in arguably one of the biggest holidays on the NBA schedule.

Former Heroes Return Home

Former Grizzlies captain Mike Conley returns to Memphis with his new team the Utah Jazz on November 15th. Conley and the Jazz will play Memphis twice in the month of November, but the match-up on November 15th will be televised on ESPN. Former Grizzlies cornerstone big man, Marc Gasol will not return to Memphis until Saturday March 28th.

‘Big Name Home Games’

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers make their first appearance in FedExForum Saturday November 23rd. Next, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors make their first appearance in Memphis on Tuesday, November 19th. Then, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and the Clippers make their only appearance at FedExForum on Wednesday November 27th at 7:00 P.M.

Longest Home Stand - Six games (January 7th-20th)

Longest Road Trip - Four Games (Twice: December 4th-11th and February 20-26th)

Back-to-backs - 12 sets (12 Home and 12 Road)
