The future is bright in Memphis, but Memphis fans already know that. For years, the cry of Grizzlies fans was for the national media and the NBA to respect and recognize the basketball that was being played on Beale Street.
The future is bright in Memphis, and now, the national media recognizes. The Rising Stars rosters were announced this morning, and there was little doubt that Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. should be a part of the festivities, but the true test was centered around Brandon Clarke. If people outside of Memphis were truly paying attention, Brandon Clarke would be a top 3 choice for the World team.

According to Shams, Clarke will indeed join Ja and Jaren, matching up AGAINST his teammates. A Clarke vs Jackson Jr. battle would certainly be worth watching.
The Memphis Grizzlies may be the only team with a .500 record or better without an All Star, but they are also the only team with a .500 record or better to feature three Rising Stars. Even more telling is that only three other teams with winning records feature even one —Dallas, Oklahoma City, and Miami (2). This just confirms what these young men are doing in Memphis is truly special.
The NBA and the world will be put on notice on Friday, February 14 as these three young Grizzlies put on a show.
