Grizz Gaming resumes regular season action tonight after a thrilling “Tipoff” tournament showing. Memphis will resume action against the Gen.G Tigers of Shanghai tonight. Can Memphis continue their regular season winning streak?

“We’ve come a long way this season, and we still have a long way to go... See ya down the road. We’ve got more work to do.” Grizz Gaming’s Head Coach and General Manager Lang Whitaker described in a few words on the season.

The season hasn’t been easy for Grizz Gaming, but they’re controlling what they can control. After an 0-4 start, the Grizz stuck to their guns, and went on a four game regular season winning streak, which they look to continue tonight against the Gen.G Tigers of Shanghai.

Game Preview:

Tonight, two of the middle-of-the-pack 2K League teams face off in Grizz Gaming and Gen.g. Gen.g, similar to Memphis, is coming off of a tournament in which they weren’t predicted to make it out of pool play. Two teams looking to take the next step in the 2K League standings will battle tonight on Twitch and Youtube.

Scouting the Enemy:

Gen.g comes into tonight’s matchup after a thrilling loss to Raptors Uprising in the Tipoff Tournament last week. With the rest of the regular season ahead, this is a very talented ball club. Similar to Memphis, Gen.g is hitting their stride at the right time in the 2K season.

With the rest of the 2K season in front of them, tonight Gen.g, just like Memphis, has a chance to move up into the next tier of 2K standings. The thing with Gen.g is, each guy on the roster can get hot at any given point.

You can expect the Tigers to have three or four out of their five guys to average over double-digits.

Key matchup:

Vandi (PG) vs. ShiftyKaii (PG):

Both point guards leading their respective teams to remarkable bounce back seasons. Vandi has been the leader for Grizz Gaming, averaging 29.5 PPG and 7.2 assists in the regular season. For Gen.g, ShiftyKaii is in the top-three in the NBA 2K League in scoring at 34.1, while also in the top tier of the 2K League in assists at 8.4 a game.

How the Grizz defense adjust to the amount of threats on the floor for the Tigers will be huge, as the Tigers will have their hands full themselves.

Grizz Gaming will take on the Gen.g Tigers at 6:00 P.M. CT live on Youtube and Twitch as they start the second half of their season tonight.
