Devastating.

Grizz Gaming entered week nine with two pivital games on their schedule, back-to-back. Mavs GG would be their focus on Tuesday night.

Grizz Gaming entered game one as cold as you would expect. The club without a doubt practiced throughout their week and a half off, but that doesn’t compare to in game situations. Memphis would open up by trailing Mavs GG 12-2 in the first quarter.

The next three quarters would feature the ball not going the Grizzlies way. Mavs GG was just on top of their game in game one. 50/50 balls went Dallas’ way, along with the second chance points. The Grizz would fall in game one by a score of 66-58. G O O F Y 7 5 7 would break his season high in the points category in game one, but a win would be key in game two.

Game two, Memphis would come out stronger than game one. Shooting the ball better and playing better team defense, had Memphis only trailing the Mavs 15-13 after one quarter. The second quarter, Memphis would take the lead on a G O O F Y 7 5 7 put back layup. Grizz Gaming Point Guard, Vandi would have a solid bounce back compared to his showing in game one. 10 points on 6/8 shooting, Vandi was helping lead Memphis in the right direction in that first half of game two. Grizz Gaming would go into the half of game two trailing Mavs GG 30-29.

The second half felt like Memphis was back on that treadmill. Getting within four, and at times within two, but unable to get over the hump. Especially in the third quarter, and even in the early fourth, you got the feeling that Memphis just would not have enough to get back into the game.

Late fourth quarter, Memphis would make their run. Trailing by four, with around 30 seconds left, Memphis cut the Mavs lead to 2, and on the following possession would get the steal and a timeout. Coming out the timeout Goofy and Vandi ran their signature pick and roll - that opened up Goofy for a slam that tied the game. Unfortunately for Memphis, it would be too good to be true, as Mavs Gaming would get a bucket in the final minutes and the Grizz crumbled in the final seconds.

The Grizz would fall to Mavs Gaming in a sweep, dropping them below .500 once again on the season. The squad now sits at 5-6 heading into - without a doubt - their biggest game of the season on Thursday night against Blazer5 Gaming.
