The Memphis Grizzlies’ season is over after suffering a play-in loss to the Portland Trailblazers. The future is still bright, Grizz Nation!

Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. are awesome. Brandon Clarke and Jonas Valanciunas are great complements for Jackson and Morant. Dillon Brooks, Grayson Allen, Justise Winslow, and De’Anthony Melton are solid young perimeter players. Taylor Jenkins and Zach Kleiman are wise beyond their years, already (arguably) top-10 in their respective roles.

And the Grizzlies are no longer having to pay for the sins of the Jeff Green trade!

Grizz life is good. Listen to the GBB Podcast network.

The Starting 5: The season is over, now to the offseason

On this week’s episode of the Starting 5 podcast, we review the Grizzlies season and give our thoughts about it as a whole and what is to come. Also, we give a brief look into the off-season and what moves we would like to see to continue the upward trajectory of the roster.

New father Justin Lewis has newest GBBer Ben Hogan and Zak Noble of Ball is Life to talk about the Memphis Grizzlies’ bubble performance. Zak also shares the upsides of, and his preferences among, Grayson Allen, Dillon Brooks, and De’Anthony Melton.

GBB Live: Making Sense of a Bubble Sample Size

Joe Mullinax graciously let me host this edition of GBB Live, as 92.9’s Connor Dunning and I talked about the high’s and low’s Dillon Brooks and De’Anthony Melton experienced in the bubble, and why there shouldn’t be too much panic. We also discussed the sustainability of Grayson Allen’s shooting, Ja Morant’s rebounding, and Jonas Valanciunas’ assist numbers.
