Well, so much for a game tonight.
Portland-Memphis is postponed tonight because of contact tracing, sources tell ESPN.

For the 2nd time in the past week, the Memphis Grizzlies have seen a game postponed for contact tracing. It’s still unclear about whether or not it impacts Friday’s game against Portland, as there will likely be a list of players affected by contact tracing released through Grizzlies PR or through reporters like Adrian Wojnarowski, Shams Charania, or Chris Haynes. Jonas Valanciunas is surely one of those names, as he missed Monday’s game for “health and safety protocols.” It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Grizzlies add more players to protocols, but it could also be on Portland’s side.
Regardless, this is the state of sports right now. No event is guaranteed, and the status of that game is up in the air until hours before the game-clock starts. That’s sports during a pandemic in a nutshell.
