It’s been the talk of Grizzlies Twitter, and your eyes do not deceive you - Jaren Jackson Jr. has had some struggles so far this season. He’s not scoring at a level that someone that just signed a $100+ million contract should (12.4 points per game on 32.5% shooting from the field) and he continues to struggle with foul trouble and rebounding. His .021 win shares per 48 minutes (according to basketball-reference.com) is easily the lowest of his career (small sample size) - there are issues to be sure. But he is coming off of injury, is still 22-years-old, and has shown flashes of his defensive versatility and offensive potential.
So, are you happy with Jaren Jackson Jr.? Do you keep his offensive and defensive issues in a grander scheme perspective? Or are you ready to see $20+ million per year production now as he starts year four in the NBA?
