Grizz Gaming’s journey into their second bye week won’t be an easy one heading into their week five matchups. First, a matchup tonight against the defending champions in Wizards District Gaming, who sits second in the Eastern Conference. Then, on Saturday night, a matchup with 76ers Gaming, who currently sits fourth in the Eastern Conference at 6-4. Both teams are currently sitting behind the Grizz in the standings and eyeing Memphis as the Grizz look to keep streaking.

Through their first 10 games, this Grizz Gaming ball club has been magnificent in adjusting, maintaining, and staying within themselves. They’ll have to do that once again on Friday and Saturday night against Washington and Philadelphia. How do the Grizz continue their winning streak, and have a successful week five?

Authentic. African.

Grizz Gaming has had a great start to the season, and it is hard to shine the spotlight on anyone in particular as this team as a whole has produced very well. Tonight, however, the focus will be on Authentic African. Just like last week against Blazer5 Gaming, and shutting down Goofy, Authentic African will have to do it once again against Dayfri of the Wizards.

The Champion Center Dayfri has been having another great season averaging 18.8 points per game, 9.7 rebounds per game, 2.3 blocks and shooting 83.8 percent from the field. For the Grizz, Authentic African, is arguably having a better season thus far averaging 15.3 points per game, a league best 16.3 rebounds per game, 2.1 blocks and shooting 82.1 percent from the field.

Double-A has been great this season. You ask Authentic African to do something on the virtual hardwood, and he has done it in his four year career. One of the most versatile players in the 2K League, Double-A is in the midst of a career season, and arguably a MVP season from a statistical standpoint.

His passing off the pick n’ roll with Vandi to open shooters, creating late in the shot clock, creating second chance opportunities for Grizz Gaming, and being a great quarterback for Memphis defense. Double-A has been a problem for opposing big men this season, he will have to continue that role tonight against Dayfri and Wizards District Gaming.

Vandini vs. Dre:

Dre of 76ers GC is having quite the season thus far for the Sixers. Averaging 24.3 points per game, and 10.1 assists per game in the 76ers first 10 games. For the Grizz, Vandi will have to be the floor general that he has been thus far. Vandi’s game has grown so much from season to season, and with that Grizz Gaming has grown as well.

Vandi is averaging 26.9 points per game, along with 10.6 assists, on 49 percent shooting from the field. Vandi’s biggest area of growth this season has been his confidence, not only in himself, but in his teammates. Vandi can go get a bucket when ever he wants, but has become so confident in his teammates when setting up the offense that it has been really fun to watch.

In the Sixers matchup, we will also get to see another thrilling Center matchup with OneWildWalnut against Authentic African. Walnut is averaging 18.8 points per game, and 12.8 rebounds per game this season for the Sixers.

Another thrilling week for Grizz Gaming, with two compelling matchups - can the Grizz keep streaking in week five?
