According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Los Angeles Lakers are sending Marc Gasol and a 2024 second round pick to the Memphis Grizzlies in a move that will save the Lakers $10 million dollars.

Woj reports that Gasol will stay in Spain and Memphis will work on a release for Gasol. This move is somewhat ceremonial as Gasol can officially retire a Grizzly. This all but means Marc is retiring from the NBA as a former Defensive Player of the Year, 3 time All Star and NBA Champion.

Zach Kleiman does it again as he brings home one of Memphis’ sons while also obtaining a draft asset, replenishing the cupboard. Congratulations to one hell of a career Marc.
